i have just embarked on a nine-ish day forced vacation from work.
kerry, too.
construction is the woooorrst and i wish i had saved a little more bling!

it's devil's night. i hope those delinquent kids that stole my bike seat don't eff up our car.
i will bring the falling rock.

oh, and kerry wants me to update everyone about the crumb that lives in his butt.
i guess it's kind of taking over his body. yikes! it still is okay, though.

p.s. evan, when are you leaving your apartment and coming to ours? we should probably be neighbors one day.

a mild interpretation, the real parts of life

someone ordered too many beers. large-oh mugs.
and someone ordered far too long cat claws;
even when he doesn't mean to hurt,
it still does.
oh, what a doozey.
how ironic for so many girls i know.

well, i just am having the worst day so far this week.
since i've been a party to far (faaaarrrr) worse days
i'm trying to be considerate to how i interpret this.

shall i begin with the deep purr of my
sneeze-o-rific kitten?

it took him a while to want a family.
now that he does,
his purrr sounds like a cello and
his eyes close like blinds.
he has so much more personality.
and lick action.
on hands.
he also reminds me of forest noises
when he meanders across our desk.
crickets he would normally kill
are mimicked and done so very well, actually.

then he sharpens his nails on old pictures
of family or a patch
of a bird
for kerry,
long ago.

what a ramble!

in response to kerry's little song about how good his music is
(and i agree)
i would like to say that
once upon a time i was supposed to receive a bass
and then it turned out to be a lie
so!
i am going to get my own
and i wish i could play it in the shower
but, alas,
i cannot.
so i'm just going to play
it everywhere else
and!
it will sound cool.

so someday i will
audition for kerry's band and he will say
"oui! but of course"
and then i will learn mo' betta' spanish.

also,
i watched a few covers that the band
dirty projectors mastered.
punk ass covers like
black fag (ha! flag)
and "gimme gimme gimme"
which sounded really dang wonderful
and i decided
that people with perfect posture should
really, actually, be mostly all
of the singers in the world.

:)

laundry, good kitty/bad kitty, dead people

it's been an unfortunate hour!
first, with the news that jim carroll was found dead at his apartment in manhattan. second, that patrick swayze finally lost a fight and no longer exists (on earth, i guess).
jim carroll was such an amazing poet and for an assortment of reasons i've always just thought he'd be immortal. in some sense to me he will always be, but i was just influenced a lot by his style of writing and i actually liked his band too.
so did keith richards.
everyone has to die, untimely or not. i mostly just hate the fact that he was so young, especially because after so many years of drugs and a wild lifestyle he wanted to calm down, and did.

what, really, is the point if it's going to snag you anyway?

so now i'm wondering who is next in the trinity of death? will it be someone i know? or will it be someone close to someone i care about? or will it be someone i don't even know nor have i ever met? either way i expect it and no amount of wonder will keep it from happening. it will be a someone.

the trio is the most frightening component to the way we've been shown death in the past decades. expectant and unaffected or completely blind-sided, it still sucks.

so fuck that.

i played my first show with the monettes last night.
it was better than i had ever expected it to be, and the couple mistakes i made sounded just fine.
screwdriver larry is in the band, too, and he also performed past my initial expectations.

kerry played after us and lots of people went wild-like; it felt good to see all that.

if you guys are into really incredible/cool/wonderful things, you should go to this website and buy some of these shirts:
www.etsy.com/shop.php

:)

this evening i adventured into the world of making dinner alone. yikes. i searched the apartment thoroughly for a fire extinguisher before embarking, but it was an unfortunate lost cause.

does this sound like something a real person would eat/make?

chicken breast with a slice of bacon on top
baked in the oven for an hour with
cilantro, carrots, spinach and garlic
butter/olive oil

brown rice with
red and yellow peppers, onions and carrots
boiled in H-O-H and french soup

broccoli with mayo, vinegar, paprika and pepper

????

i don't want to gross kerry out when he gets home from work. i just don't know what food should ever go together so i put lots of things together and kris kross my fingers.

There are a many ridiculous and wild images/thoughts running quite like carpet cruisers through my formative thoughts.

The likes of these make me quite honestly feel rather nuts. Thoughts that don't quite match up with 2009 fill me up rancid. Spilled and spoiled milk feels like the shake of death. I am, however, distinctly saved by the tunes of certain tones I've been filled up with.

Check out Ferraby Lionheart if you haven't. He brings with his music a slight (yet so solely overwhelming) sense of NON-SUCK that sort of turns me about platonic-crazy over something that would normally turn me on wildly.

Also look for Wilco's next BEST (apparently) album... coming out this June! Two years ago (which hardly feels as such) their album blew me to pieces, whilst I mopped certain perma-dirt floors. I can most certainly guarantee that this almost-album will blow your brain bits into glow-in-the dark pieces. That is my only idea of what something this anticipated, for myself and acclaimed others, could really be like.

DAMNED and drunk-hunted.

fur two hole days i had a puppy.
she ran and played and sucked on sewer holes with her
unusually warm nose.
even my mother commented.
even my mother blew to the wind the reality of fuzz
and chopped up brown bones.
she growled in blue-like-water sheets,
sheetz;
she purred like a summer cat,
without the summer sun licking her back.
this little apple,
of the smallest, most intricate, seed-ish world,
was the best computer we'd ever had.
i swear i'll cry
for the little boy that let her roam,
into my heart like a feather storm
and a wild brush
of sticky mush
and barking bones
at a simple drive-thru window.

five seconds ago
i just remembered part of my dream from last night:

i was at the mall sharing two kinds of potato chips with my friends:
 01. circle jerks chips
 02. black flag kettle cooked chips with dried veggies.....

i distinctly remember the circle jerks chips being really way too salty and everyone agreed so we just kept eating the black flag chips instead.
WHAT the heck?!

it has only been fourteen minutes but here i am once more, monroe.

In the spirit of everyone I know re-reading their old-baby LJs, here is a march excerpt of mine from 2006, awaiting springtime:

"The sun is ever shining outside and will until seven pm or so. I think about this time last year and it was exciting and going places and it felt full. Maybe that's silly revisionist history playing me a fool, but this spring is just not bouncing as high. What I think is lacking: walks around the 'hood, walks up and down the mini-tree-lined streets of Royal Oak at night when the darkness loves you like a worried mother. I think today I'm going to buy a dress or maybe even two if I can afford such lavishness. It's not that I'm depressed or sad or even a touch jaded... I am ready for a season to switch and stick to it already. I miss the sing-alongs to Mazzy Star and friends who talked about more than how awful other people are."

It still makes sense and soon our clocks go back, and soon I'll be off the internet and in the shower, de-hypo-allergenic-ing myself.
Thank you and everything for the puckers on my lips.

i usually like to place the keyboard on my lap

because when i type with it there, my legs can feel my fingers and their movement.

:(
on the way home from mexico and delivering kerry to it's bosom (to assume mexico is a female with a rack), i heard a nanosecond of a news report about the polish man who was tasered to his death in van couver (or somewhere canadian). and then i heard a bit about the trial of the security guard who is innocent until proven guilty of said fellow's death. and THEN i remembered that i have JURY DUTY tomorrow and i almost shed seven and one third tears. first of all, for owls like myself, eight in the ante meridiem is a time for peaceful sleep, or dreams of glow-in-the-dark fish... but most especially NOT for walking into a court house twelve million light years (or three exaggerations) away wearing not-jeans. i don't own anything for the weather that is not jeans and i just am going to go there wearing no clothes at all so they send me home.

so that is my sad plan for jury duty and my "duty" to something i mostly tend to hate.
:(

i wrote some song lyrics last night for the new album that kerry and i are going to begin this month. they're mostly about the paper on which i wrote and the ink with which i dashed off some letters. the paper is from nepal, we received it from boo's mum as a departure gift when we left for the mitten, for the glove.

besides that, i just noticed that all of the F1-F16 keys on the keyboard are dusty water and have been untouched for mostly months. luckily they aren't stuffed animals and so i don't feel anything for their neglect. or at least not as much of anything for their disregard.

AND i'm going to re-sign up for dictionary.com and perhaps some other websites that i enjoy so i can begin receiving emails once more. i made a new email address once because i forgot my password to the other fourteen-a-hundred i had.

japanesetoast@gmail.com
if anyone is interested,
or if anyone has a deserving ploy i may
use to get out of jury duty
please.

glue.

today, kerry's mom found out that "annastasia (spelled wrong of course) beaverhousen" on facebook is my mom. and so now they have said their first sentences to each other and it is kind of cool but mostly really weird... basically because i've known kerry and his mum and everyone for years now and somehow we both just always thought our parents would never collide.

but they did! i think they'll be excellent friends and everything, they are both so cute and wonderful. my mom has secret anger though that i don't think kerry's mum has because she knows how to come home and relax and perhaps sip a beer like corona light or sol! i should email my mom a few night caps, don't you think?

otherwise, the album that kerry has been working on this month is coming together like really crazily wow-so-well. last night we made tink noises and i brushed a hawaiian umbrella with chop sticks from the super grocery market. he played me the songs he has lined up so far and i just really can't believe it sometimes. everything from the small nature noises to the largely punk-like piano wonder spins me in circles. and i've discovered that i'm not just thinking this/saying this/feeling this because i'm wildly in love with the man... it just is spank-a-roni-slinkster-bangin'!

:)
